
Who says learning can't be fun? Our fifth graders were all smiles as they reviewed for their American Revolution quiz this morning!





After seven months of reading, it was time to vote! All students who earned three or more points by reading Sequoyah nominees were invited for a donut, voting, and the awarding of prizes. We had three students who read all fifteen titles, and fifty-one total who participated in the event. Way to go Clegern Readers!










The Thunder Bus visited Clegern today, and our third grade classes got to go on the bus and pick out a new book to take home! Thank you Oklahoma City Thunder!

It's a busy week for Clegern's fourth graders as they finish up their medieval studies and move towards the festival. These students are working on building their dream castles!






Please remember, our new school times go into effect today, adding five minutes to both ends of the instructional day. Students will now be tardy at 8:40, and afternoon pickup will begin at 3:30.

Because of continued isolated icy roads in parts of our district as well as slick and dangerous parking lots and sidewalks, Edmond Public Schools will move to remote learning for all schools for Thursday, February 13th.

Based on the current forecasts, we plan to be back to in-person school on Friday.


This week has been busy at Clegern! Before the weather hit Fifth Grade began their Amazing Race of American History using atlases in the library, while Second Grade worked in pairs to identify characteristics of different animals. And who could forget Third Grade's out of this world performance about space! We are always busy learning and having fun at Clegern!

Today our fourth graders spent some time in the library looking at books about the Middle Ages from different genres. This fun unit will culminate in a Medieval Festival in March!

Because of an increasing number of student and staff absences this week, we have made the difficult decision to close school for all Edmond Public Schools for tomorrow, Friday, January 31st. Extracurricular activities will continue as scheduled.
This decision was made in advance to give our families and staff members time to prepare. We will let you know as soon as possible how this instructional time will be made up.

The winners of the Gingerbread Decorating teacher experience created beautiful gingerbread houses with Mrs. Shortt, Mrs. Fuller and Mrs. Foster in the library yesterday afternoon!

Congratulations to Clegern's fabulous school secretary, Mrs. Arlene Chapin-Fitchue! She was selected by the Clegern and EECC staff as our support employee of the year, announced this morning at CCT. We love you Mrs. Fitz, and your title doesn't even begin to cover all the things you help us do on a daily basis! Three cheers for Mrs. Fitz!!!


The winners of the Game Time teacher experience tried their best to beat Mrs. Rhodes at Mario Kart on the Nintendo Switch at their after-school experience on Tuesday!


Our second-graders helped beautify the Clegern landscaping today by planting tulip bulbs! Thanks to Mrs. Raymer who helps us keep our school looking great!

Our kindergarteners are playing a memory match game about emotions. We can learn to handle all our big feelings once we know what they are!
