Before and After School Program
Cougar Care, our Before and Aftercare Program, provides optional before and after School extended daycare. The extended program is available only on the days when the regular school year is in session. The program is separate from the regular school day as outlined in school law.
Clegern must abide by Oklahoma State Department of Human Services guidelines for the number of students we are licensed to serve. Should we reach license capacity, we may not be able to accept drop-in participants on particular days. Please plan accordingly if you are not a regular user of the Before and Aftercare Service.
Before School (7:00-8:20 a.m.)
Children may play games, use the computer lab, and use individual centers. Breakfast is served at 7:55 a.m.
After School (3:25-6:00 p.m.)
Activities will vary based on age appropriateness and weather. Activities may include outdoor play, homework, computer lab, games, and free choice activities. A healthy snack is provided.
All tuition must paid one week in advance. You may pay online for a whole month. If you are late for the week or monthly payments you will be charged $5.00 a day for each day the payment is late. If your child is not picked up by 6:00 p.m., there will be a late fee of $1.00 per minute per child. Three late pickups can result in your child not being allowed to continue in the program. Students who are normally picked up before 5:45 p.m. will be allowed to call their parent if they are still here at 5:50 p.m.
SPECIAL ADJUSTMENTS MADE FOR COVID QUARANTINE TIMES:
Normally, if a child is absent for any reason, tuition is due based on the attendance plan in which the child was originally enrolled. This year, due to Covid quarantining requirements, you will not be charged for the days that your child is required to quarantine or is required to be learning from home in the “brick to click” model. Make sure to communicate with a before/after care director so tuition can be adjusted and the absence is known in a timely manner.
