Bonnie Stradal grew up here in Edmond and attended John Ross, Sequoyah, and Edmond North. Her positive schooling experience in Edmond, the long line of teachers in her family, and her love of kids are all reasons she went into the teaching profession. She attended the University of Oklahoma and graduated with a bachelors in Elementary Education. Out of college, Bonnie began teaching at Cross Timbers Elementary, where in her fourth year, was awarded Site Teacher of the Year. Bonnie went on to be a top five Teacher of the Year finalist for all of Edmond. She spent 5 years teaching at Cross Timbers, then stayed home with her son for 2 years. Bonnie then taught for two years at Centennial Elementary in 4th grade and stayed home for 2 years, after the arrival of her daughter. For the past 6 years, she has continued using her skills in teaching as a private tutor. She has tutored in study skills, organization, as well as core subject areas. Mrs. Stradal is someone who feels called to the classroom and is passionate about instilling in students the love of learning. She feels some of her strengths include motivating students, nurturing her students’ strengths, and keeping learning fun. Bonnie is very excited for a grade level change and looks forward to a wonderful school year!
