Mrs. Julie Shortt is a proud graduate of Oklahoma State University with Bachelor’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology. She went on to receive her Master’s Degree at the University of Central Oklahoma in Early Childhood Education. Mrs. Shortt began her teaching career in 1994 at Westwood Elementary in Oklahoma City teaching four years of Kindergarten and one year of second grade. She started teaching in Edmond in 1999 at Angie Debo Elementary where she taught both kindergarten and first grade. After teaching ten years and the birth of their fourth child, she made a decision to stay home to raise her children. She returned to teaching in 2014 at Peace Lutheran teaching Pre-K. Mrs. Shortt came to Clegern in 2015. She has always had a passion for teaching and a love for children. She and her husband Roger were married in 1996. They have two boys, Collin and Crew and two girls Kayleigh and Kylin . All of her children have attended Clegern, and Kayleigh and Kylin are still students at Clegern. In her free time she enjoys running, swimming, and spending time with her family and watching OSU football.
