The week of October 24 is Red Ribbon Week, our annual drug free awareness program. The goal of Red Ribbon Week at the elementary level is to create lines of communication between students and trusted adults. And, also, to educate them in an age appropriate way to strengthen the life skills necessary for making positive choices throughout their life. This year’s theme is: #youonlyliveonce #YOLO – Be Drug Free! At school, students will engage in activities that promote a drug free and healthy lifestyle. Please partner with us and discuss this message at home, at the dinner table and with trusted friends/family. We will have dress up days to create awareness and build a positive atmosphere for Red Ribbon Week. They are as follows:

Tues., Oct. 25: Live like a jean-ius! Wear denim of the 80’s and all 80’s gear.

Wed., Oct. 26: Live like it’s 1955…Drug Free for Decades. Dress like the 50’s.

Thurs., Oct. 27: Live Bright! Dress in colors and items of the 70’s.

Fri., Oct. 28: #YOLO Live like a Clegern Cougar & Make Positive Choices. Wear Cougar gear.
